The Google Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) app provides an added layer of security to your CPToys account by requiring a second form of verification beyond just a password. This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access, as even if someone obtains your password, they would still need access to your smartphone to generate the time-sensitive authentication code.
CPToys uses the Google Authenticator 2FA authentication process to ensure the security of CPToys accounts. Sometimes when you log in to CPToys, you will be prompted to scan a unique barcode using Google Authenticator on your device (phone/tablet). This will provide you with a 6-digit code that you can enter. You will need to log in using a computer for this process. This will allow you to use your mobile device to scan your barcode on the screen.
Remember to use your Google Authenticator to scan the code, not your camera!

Your 6-digit code will not be sent via phone or email.
If you cannot locate your 6-digit code or having trouble logging in with Google Authenticator, send us a message at help@cptoys.org

CPToys recommends that parents set up their child's CPToys therapy program in collaboration with a qualified occupational therapist or physiotherapist. Before setting up a program, your therapist should first discuss your goals for your child and undertake an observational-based assessment such as the Hand Assessment for Infants (HAI), mini-Assisting Hand Assessment (mini-AHA) or Assisting Hand Assessment (AHA).
CPToys goal videos are short clips developed by Associate Professor Brian Hoare, OT, that explain each therapy goal and its importance with visual demonstrations. To watch goal videos, look for the play icon next to the listed goal in your child's therapy program or when setting up their program.
Yes, parents can set up a therapy program for their child under the "my child" tab by clicking on "create program." Then, select the goals for your child. Once you have created the program, you will be able to browse toys and videos related to your goals.

CPToySwap is an online community where parent users can give, receive, swap or sell pre-loved therapy toys. CPToySwap was created with the understanding that children's therapy needs rapidly change as they grow and so do the kinds of toys that will be most beneficial to their development. We also want to keep passing on amazing therapy toys to families when they need them.
To search for toys on CPToySwap, go to the "search toys' tab. During your search, look out for the green "On CPToySwap" symbol. You can also use the toggle button on the "Show toys on CPToySwap only" to view toys that have been listed on CPToySwap.
To list a toy, you do not need a CPToys subscription, however you do need an account. You can sign up for a free trial. If you have previously done this, your account will automatically convert to a "donor" account where you will only have access to CPToySwap to upload and pass on toys to other families in need.
To create your first listing, go to the CPToySwap tab in the top menu, then click "Create Your First Listing." Follow the prompts to search and select the toy for rehoming. Click the "Add Details" button at the bottom of the page, providing information such as your location and the toy's condition. You can also opt to hide this information. Once completed, click "Create Listing." Your toy will be visible when other parents and therapists use the "Search Toys" function.
If you find a toy on CPToysSwap that you like, click on the toy. At the bottom of the page, you will see the "Available from" options. Click on the "message symbol" and use the messaging function to contact the user. This will send them a message to their CPToys account, along with an email.
CPToys strongly encourage the gifting or swapping of toys. However, based on user feedback we have also added a feature for users to sell toys. In this case, any payment exchanged is the sole responsibility of the users involved. CPToys is not involved in these transactions, including the delivery of toys.

CPToys regularly hosts online education forums presented by globally recognised experts in cerebral palsy (CP) research and clinical practice. They are free for CPToys subscribers or users who are currently using a 14-day free trial. The educational forums aim to provide therapists and families with the most up-to-date and evidence-based information about assessment and intervention for children with CP. All our forums are conducted live and recorded. They are added to our Education library shortly after each live session for viewing in your own time.
As a CPToys subscriber, you can join these forums through the link provided under the "Education" tab on the platform. Based on your feedback, we have also added a calendar symbol under each forum tile that allows you to easily add upcoming forums to your diary. All our forums are recorded and added to the Education library shortly after the forum's conclusion. Head to the "Education" tab to check out the growing library of content.
We provide forum updates via email, social media and under the "education" tab in the CPToys menu. We also add these to our regular Newsletters. To stay up to date, you can sign up for the newsletter via the CPToys homepage at www.cptoys.org

On the left side of the screen you can select your preference using the drop-down box. You can also limit your search to toys available on CPToySwap. Simply toggle the "Show Toys on CPToySwap Only" slider to "on."
If you identify a toy that you would like to purchase, click on the toy and head to the "Available from" section at the bottom of the toy details page. Here you will find a list of suppliers where you can purchase the toy. Based on user feedback, we also provide links to the supplier for purchase.

All your client's therapy programs are located under the "my clients" tab in the top menu of CPToys.
We always recommend that you first understand a child and family's goals and undertake a standardised observation-based assessment before setting up a therapy program using CPToys. It is strongly recommended to use an observational-based hand assessment, such as the Hand Assessment for Infants (HAI), the mini-Assisting Han Assessment or the Assisting Hand Assessment (AHA) before setting up a goal-focused therapy program.
To begin setting up a therapy program head to the "my clients" page. Select "add client" and fill in your client's name and date of birth. If you have privacy concerns, feel free to use a pseudonym for the child's name and alter the date of birth by a few days. Then, select the goals!
You will then be prompted to send the program to the child's parents or caregiver. At this stage, you can click the "gift licence" box to provide the parent/caregiver with free access to the CPToys portal via your subscription.
Customize the message you would like to send and confirm the program. The parent/caregiver will then receive an email invitation to accept your program. To access this, they will need to start a free trial or use their existing account.
Once a program is sent, it can be viewed and altered under the "My Clients" tab.
To recommend toys aligned with a child's goals, open the child's program and click "See suggested toys." Where available, this section also allows you to watch video clips that illustrate and explain each goal. To recommend a specific toy, click on the tick in the top right corner of the toy profile. When clicked, the tick will be marked green and the toys will be added to a child's therapy program.
An alternative method for making specific toy recommendations is via the toy search feature. Click on "search toys" in the page header. When searching for toys, you can click "Recommend to Clients" in the toy profile. This will allow you to select one or multiple clients to recommend the toy to. Once confirmed the toy will be added to the child's therapy program.
To remove or add goals to your client's program, click on their name under the "my clients" tab and click on "edit program." Here you will be able to select or deselect goals. Following this, the parent/caregiver will receive an email with their child's updated program. These changes will be reflected in the program that your client can access from their profile. The old program will also be stored under "show past programs". This history allows you to monitor the child's progress over time.
If you would like to set up a test or dummy program that is not linked to a specific child, you can select "Add Demo Child". This creates a program without the need to send to a parent/caregiver. This is a great feature for you to practise using CPToys in situations such as clinical supervision sessions.
CPToys goal videos are short clips that carefully explain each therapy goal with visual demonstrations. To watch goal videos, look for the play icon next to the listed goal in your client's therapy program.
